Ancestral Trails

This tour is a great way to get up close to the colonial heritage and traditional culture of Barichara and the surrounding area. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped back in time riding on trails first used hundreds of years ago with awesome descents, fantastic views and (optional) challenging climbs! You’ll visit a clay workshop to see the craftsmanship of Doña Bernadita, try local drinks like guarapo, corn chicha and sabajón and visit the beautiful colonial church in Guane. The tour finishes at Alejo’s farm where you’ll learn about his farming traditions and practises, as well as enjoying well deserved snacks & refreshments.
